Grid and cloud computing bring a myriad of new opportunities to both small and large companies: infrastructure providers, grid services providers, value added resellers, consultancies, middleware suppliers … This unexplored territory opens up a number of questions for would-be entrants: what strategies are appropriate for this role? What is the value chain for my sector? What future industry layout do we anticipate? This section tries to provide some answers to these doubts.

Business models classification - The goal of this analysis is the classification of business models applicable to Grid solutions based on the business cases implemented in the BEinGRID project. This classification of business models isn't based on traditional paradigms but rather it defines a framework to accommodate, describe and compare current and future models of the grid computing industry.
